Young at Heart

Here's the lyrics to an exceptionally appropriate song that I heard on the radio today, my 40th birthday!

I'm also posting a photo of my nephew Andy and I making each other laugh at the Playland amusement park... which also seems exceptionally appropriate!

Andy & Uncle Rob

Young at Heart
Frank Sinatra

Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you
If you’re young at heart
For it’s hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind
If you’re young at heart

You can go to extremes with impossible schemes
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams
And life gets more exciting with each passing day
And love is either in your heart or on it’s way

Don’t you know that it’s worth every treasure on earth
To be young at heart
For as rich as you are it’s much better by far
To be young at heart

And if you should survive to 105
Look at all you’ll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart

Rob...Andrew was so happy to see his picture with you for your journal entry. He has not stopped looking at the picture and saying "Uncle Rob". Great journal entry as you reach your 40 year milestone, you definately are young at heart!! From what we were able to see of you on the web cam last night, you do look young. Must be the gym workouts are paying off. Hope you had an excellent birthday, best wishes to you. Love, Marisa (and Andy & Andrew).

Just for the record - I hope and wish to remain young at heart. It gives a special feeling to life and living it. You definitely have it and your goal should be to keep it. Always. You know Andy, you and I have those genes. We just have to remeber them when things get tough. Love ya much......sis

Thanks again, everyone for the birthday wishes!

Armand - !Lo agradezco bastante!

Marisa - Thanks, I had to put that photo up because it always causes me to smile. Andy's laughter is one of the this world's sweetest sounds.

Gabe & Marie - Thanks... and happy birthday to you too, Marie!

Vicki - You're absolutely right, sis. "Old age" is, to a huge extent, all in your mind!

Ale - !Muchísimas gracias! Y muy bien cantado... lo siento que no pude compartir el pastel de cumpleaños con todos ustedes.

Feliz Cumpleanos, Senor...

I am now a regular reader (keep posting on del.icio.us!) and appreciate your insights...
I am married to a Guatemalan (from Xela) and it's great to get news from inside Guatemala apart from the press. Keep it up! I'll keep reading...

Te felicito, Canche, no solamente en tu cumpleaños, sino todos los días, por el muy hombre, el muy comprometido y solidario, el muy humano que sos. Te quiero muchísimo, hermano.
