Boy oh boy, every time you start posting we have earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, and what not. I should've known you are back to chapino lands.

Rudy,

That's why I haven't been writing too much about the upcoming elections... I figure that's already enough of a disaster as is!

A catastrophic disaster I may add. I have only felt the need to cover the election once and that is so people living outside can not tell me I am writing a daily blog for a Potemkin village.

P.S. Welcome back home Canche! You're missed.

Hey Rudy,

The beautiful thing about your blog is that it shows the beauty and culture of Guatemala, something that is easy to forget when you're innundated by political propaganda, incessant campaign jingles on the radio, and news about pre-eleccion violence.

It's nice to visit a site that highlights all that I love about Guatemala.

And thanks, its good to be back! (You know, despite the elections! Hehe.)

Rob, I am so jealous - you get to have the best of both worlds NY & GUate . . . my dream life . . hee hee. - out of curiosity, is it hard to make the transition between 2 places? Do you feel like you're ni de aqui ni de alla? Just wondering . . personal curiosity.
