Rob's Flickr Photos

Hey everyone...

Just a quick note before I call it a night. I've just recently began adding photos to my Flickr account. The photographs are from the recent elections here in Guatemala.

I haven't quite decided how to incorporate the Flickr pictures into this website... or whether it would simply be best to use Flickr as my online photo gallery.

What I like about Flickr is the option for visitor to see the photos in different sizes, the use of tags (or keywords) to label the photos, and especially the ability for viewers to leave comments about each photograph.

Yes, this means you.

I hope that you'll visit the site, and heap tons of praise on every photo you see there. (I'm also open to very small doses of constructive criticism if you absolutely feel the need to crush this struggling artist's soul.)

No, no... I'm kidding. The only way for me to become a better photographer is to receive feedback from you. Tell me what you like, what you don't like, and why. (My coworkers at EstePais magazine are pretty much useless in this regard. Since the magazine isn't able to pay me a salary, every photo I contribute is always received with "oooh"s and "ahhh"s. Sure, what else are they going to say?)

If you want to check out the photos for yourself, the address is:

I look forward to hearing from you!

Ale,

Hey... thanks for the excellent suggestion! I've decided to move ahead with the Flickr, but haven't made the final decision on my photo section quite yet.

I love what Rudy has done with his site... in fact he's one of my major inspirations for getting my pics online. I was very impressed with his Flickr slideshows. Now, thanks to you, I have an idea on how he pulls off his mini-miracles!

Oh, there's so much to learn and so little time. Best of luck with your decisions too!
